Critiques are provided respectfully yet are optional.  The purpose of this vital feedback is to give you deeper insight.  This will not only validate your accomplishments but also offer positive input and point some things out that you may not see or realize.

Several important basic art elements are introduced that are essential tools for developing art with substance . Understanding these elements and learning how to implement them will strengthen your abilities and enable you to open your mind and have new fresh observations. You will learn how to expand your creative thinking skills which will build your confidence.

  • Have been making art quilts and or fiber art and are prepared to take their work to the next level
  • Are interested in learning to use color and value effectively
  • Want to develop their personal style
  • Are ready to have some fun and create art with pizzazz!

OPTIONS This course may be taken privately including tutoring and critiques or in a group.  The group session is conducted on a private yahoo group complete with photo albums and threaded discussions.

Group Session-This course is comprehensive with one lesson per week.  Understand that you will be busy!  Allot sufficient time to cover the reading material and complete the exercises.  Keeping a steady even pace is ideal.  Plan on allowing about two  hours per day.

Private Tutor- The complete course is made available to you as a zip file.  Download the file, print out the lessons and designs and set your schedule.  Simple as that!  Communications are conducted via email.  Critiques and feedback are given when requested.
