Autumn "Indian summer" on St. Leonard Creek

Yesterday was an AWESOME day on the creek.  The temperature was 85°!  The creek was unbelievably still.

Recently I purchased a new camera:  A Canon Rebel EOS XTI

At 5 p.m. I looked outside and saw the most amazing photo “op”,  grabbed the camera and ran down the path that overlooks the pier and creek.

This camera is fantastic!  It fits my needs.  I am not proficient with numbers, settings and camera terms.  This is the easiest SLR I have ever used.  The main dial offers several settings for special needs; one for “landscape” provided a wide angle that I used for this shot.  The sky was glorious and is clearly reflected in the crystal mirrored image of the still waters of the creek.

The other setting I know will come in handy is “close up”.  I will utilize it when taking images of my artwork.

Today the forecast is for more of the same.  My husband and I have planned to take the boat out for an evening ride to take advantage of the “Indian summer” Autumn days we are having this week; this type of weather will not stick around for long.  More photos are planned too.

Oh WOW, Debbie! That is one gorgeous photograph! Looks like a professional postcard. You KNOW you’ve gotta do something fiber-y with it!
    cheers,
